The Avatar's Health Bar, from OpenFusion.
The Health Bar,[1] also known as Health,[2][3] is a game mechanic in the Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall franchise. It is a quantity of points that determines how much damage a game character, such as playable characters, allies, or enemies, can take in gameplay before leaving the main game. The Health Bar is typically represented as a gauge on the HUD.
Physical appearance
The Health Bar's design depends on the game in the Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall franchise.
In Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall, the Health Bar is presented as a thin horizontal bar inside the information window for game characters, which include Avatars, ally characters, and monsters. The amount of health available to the game character is illustrated as a multicolored bar inside said character's Health Bar that transitions in color from red on the left to yellow on the right.

In FusionFall Heroes, the Health Bar for the playable characters is presented as a horizontal gauge on the upper right of the playable character's profile picture on the HUD. The amount of health available to the playable character is illustrated as a red bar inside the Health Bar. Furthermore, inside the Health Bar are a pair of numbers; the one on the right shows the maximum amount of Health points the playable character can have and the one on the left shows how many Health points they have left. The Health Bar for bosses on the other hand are presented as a horizontal bar in the lower right corner on the HUD, and the amount of health available to the bosses is illustrated as a green bar inside the Health Bar.
Gameplay
In gameplay, the Health Bar showcases the amount of damage a game character, such as the Avatar or enemies, can take before they are defeated.
Each game character in gameplay for combat in the Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall franchise has a numerical attribute representing their health, and the sum of these numbers are represented as an energy bar inside the Health Bar. When a game character takes damage from either attacks or environmental hazards, they lose a certain amount of Health Bar points, which causes Health Bar's energy bar to shrink. If a playable character's Health Bar is completely emptied, they will be knocked out,[4] forcing the player to respawn from a certain point in the game or checkpoint. In the case of an enemy, they will similarly lose Health Bar points when they are attacked by the playable character.[4] If their Health Bar runs out of points, they will be destroyed and the player receives rewards for it.

In Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall, the Avatar's Health Bar is constantly showcased. When teaming up with an computer-controlled NPC for certain Missions, their Health Bar will be showcased right below the Avatar's for the duration of the team-up within the Mission. The Health Bar for other players will similarly be showcased below the player's own when they are in groups with other players.[5] Lastly, monsters' Health Bars are showcased within their information windows on the HUD whenever they are physically aligned with the Avatar. Notably, when the Avatar's Health Bar empties, they will respawn at the nearest Resurrect 'Em with some of their Health Bar restored,[6] but if they have the Revive - Self or Revive - Group Nano Power active when that happens, they will instead revive in the spot they were defeated with a portion of their Health Bar restored. The player can also restore a portion of the Avatar's Health Bar with either the Health - Self or Health - Group Nano Power; otherwise, the Avatar's Health Bar will slowly regenerate on its own outside of combat after a short while.[7] In addition, every time the Avatar levels up, their overall maximum Health Bar points will increase. In the case of enemies, they will generally have more Health Bar points the higher their level is.

In FusionFall Heroes, the playable character's Health Bar is constantly showcased. Lesser enemies in this game have no Health Bars, although they do possess numerical values to measure the health for each for them, but boss monsters' Health Bars only appear whenever their turn comes to battle the player. Notably, when the playable character's Health Bar empties, they will respawn at the last checkpoint. The player can also restore a portion of the playable character's Health Bar by picking up certain items: Sandwiches restore 100 Health Bar points, bowls of oatmeal restore 200 Health Bar points, and pancakes completely restore the Health Bar.
