Vehicles are objects in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall. They are rentable items for the Avatar that allow faster travel and come in a variety of speed classes and styles. All vehicles are rented out by shopkeepers associated with Kevin's Hot Rod Rentals.

Gameplay

In gameplay, vehicles are ridable items that can be equipped to the Avatar. When used, the Avatar hops on their vehicle in the field, which increases their movement speeds for as long as they are on their vehicle. Like when moving on foot, there is no acceleration when riding a vehicle, as the Avatar immediately reaches top speed while on one.

The speed of a vehicle is referred to as its "Class"; the higher the Class, the faster the vehicle will move. However, the player cannot add a vehicle to their inventory permanently; vehicles are only available for their designated rental periods, ranging from three to fifteen days. When a vehicle's rental period expires, it will automatically be removed from the Avatar's inventory. To see how much time remains in a vehicle's rental period, simply select it in the Avatar's inventory. The information appears in the detail item window about the vehicle. In addition, there are certain things to note about vehicles:

• Vehicles protect the Avatar from toxic patches and pools of Fusion Matter on the ground.
• The Avatar cannot engage in combat with enemies while riding a vehicle.
• The player cannot engage with other players or NPCs while riding a vehicle. However, the chat is still available.
• Nanos and emotes cannot be used while riding a vehicle.
• Vehicles cannot be ridden inside Infected Zones.
• Some vehicles let the Avatar Dash in any direction, others only allow forward Dashes.
• The Warp Away command is still available while riding a vehicle.

Vehicle shopkeepers can be found at Townsville Center, Mount Blackhead, and Forsaken Valley. To equip a vehicle, select it from "My Stuff" in the Menu and click on "Equip". The player can also press [V] when in the field to make the Avatar mount or dismount their vehicles.

Patch Notes

The following list contains the Patch Notes pertaining to vehicles in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall:

• 07.22.2009: The vehicles and their shopkeepers were added to the game. These included Hoverboard, Cloud, and Jetbike variety vehicles, and the Kimchi code vehicle.
• 07.30.2009:
  • A glitch that caused vehicle particle effects to not show up on the first try was patched.
  • A glitch that allowed players to enter Infected Zones while on their vehicle while grouped was patched.
• 08.06.2009: A typo that made the expiration time for vehicles list the time as XX:XX EDT instead of EST was patched.
• 12.15.2009: The Knishmas Kimchi Cloud was made available through a limited-time code.
• 01.20.2010: Numbuh 767, a new vehicle shopkeeper selling a new selection of level one vehicles that served as previews of upcoming models, was added to the game, along with the Birthday Bash content.
• 02.10.2010: Numbuh 767 and his vehicle shop was removed from the game, along with the Birthday bash content.
• 03.10.2010: New and faster vehicles were added to the game and the speed and rental time were increased. This content included a new Cloud, Jetbike, and Hoverboard with cool new designs and faster speeds that the player could use for two weeks.
• 03.31.2010: Zenith and her new vehicle selection were added to the game.
• 09.15.2010: A new selection of vehicles were added to the game. These included not only new Hoverboard, Cloud and Jetbike vehicles, but also new Hovercar and Glider vehicle varieties, the latter of which were rented exclusively by new shopkeepers. In addition, a number of existing vehicles in the already established shopkeepers' inventory were replaced with new versions of them that had different levels, classes, and costs.
• 12.01.2010: Seasonal previews of upcoming glider and hovercar vehicles and vehicle shopkeepers were added to the game, as a part of the holiday content. They could be found next to all the regular vehicle shopkeepers. They were all removed after the holidays were over.
• 03.16.2011: The Adventure Racer, Ben 10 Racer, DexLabs Racer, Generator Rex Racer, PPG Racer, and Sym-Bionic Racer, along with their show-themed vehicles, were added to the game.

Trivia

• The Clockwork Hoverboard is the only vehicle to not expire in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall.
