The Chupacabra is a NPC in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall. It is a famous cryptid that surfaced on the Earth during the Fusion Invasion.

01.20.2010: The Chupacabra was added to the game, along with the Birthday Bash content.^[1] It could be found in Pokey Oaks South and Pokey Oaks South (The Future).

Origin

The Chupacabra originates from the 2008 American animated television series The Secret Saturdays. In that media, its a member of a species of reptile-like cryptids that inhabit North America. They are known for sucking the blood of smaller animals.

Only one Chupacabra appeared during the show's run. This particular cryptid would fight Fiskerton in an underground fighting tournament for cryptids.

Trivia

The Chupacabra is based on a real-life cryptid, a blood-sucking monster that lives deep in the jungles of Central and South America. Its legend apparently originated in Mexico and Puerto Rico, but has spread to other places, including Texas, Argentina. and even as far north as Maine.

Although the Chupacabra in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall is based on its depiction in The Secret Saturdays, there has been other incarnations of it in other Cartoon Network shows:
- In Dexter's Laboratory, a Chupacabra named "Charlie", which is one of Dexter's creations made to scare Dee Dee, appeared in "Got Your Goat".
- In The Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy, a Chupacabra named "Daisy", which is a monster sealed in a cursed video tape, appeared in "Aren't You Chupacabra To See Me?".
- In Generator Rex, a Chupacabra, which is a large, hideous creature mistaken for an Evo, appeared in "Outpost".
