Shnitzel, also referred to as Schnitzel, is a NPC in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall. He is a rock monster and a cooking associate of Chowder's.

Physical appearance

Shnitzel is a large and gray rock monster. He possesses a long neck with a head indistinguishable from it, two black eyes with dark rims around them, two stubby ears on top of his head, and a near-permanent frown. He also has thick arms and legs, recesses on his chest that resemble chest hair, and both his hands and feet have black hoof-like digits, with four fingers on each of his hands and two toes on each of his feet. For attire, he wears a white chef's apron.

The Future

In the Future, Shnitzel made an appearance during the Birthday Bash. Specifically, he would appear in Pokey Oaks South.

The Past

In the Past, Shnitzel made an appearance during the Birthday Bash. Specifically, he would appear in Pokey Oaks South.

During the time of Knishmas, Shnitzel was stuck in the Schmingerbread house that had been blown to Pokey Oaks South.

During the following Valentine's Day event, he was stationed in the Sunken Mall in Townsville Center.

Shnitzel later took up residence in Chowder's mouth, helping out with the recent problem of Fusion Chowder's infection of his mouth. He gives the hero the task of going into the deep part of Chowder's mouth and finding Kimchi. For most of the mission Chowder takes over. Chowder sends the hero to find Kimchi under a time limit before the Fusion locate his position. The hero finds Kimchi and relieves Chowder of his worries. The hero reports back to Shnitzel for a reward afterwards.

• 12.15.2009: Shnitzel was added to the game, along with the Knishmas content.^[2] He could be found in Pokey Oaks South where his body could be seen sticking out of the local Schmingerbread house.
• 01.07.2010: Shnitzel was removed from the game, along with the Knishmas content.
• 01.20.2010: Shnitzel was added to the game, along with the Birthday Bash content.^[3] He could be found in Pokey Oaks South and Pokey Oaks South (The Future).
• 02.10.2010: Shnitzel was moved to the Sunken Mall in Townsville Center as a part of the Valentine's Day event, after the Birthday Bash was concluded.^[4] There, he plays a part in "Achey Breaky Flarts (Part 3 of 4)" and "Achey Breaky Flarts (Part 4 of 4)".
• 03.10.2010: Shnitzel was removed from the game, along with the Valentine's Day content.
• 11.10.2010: Shnitzel was added to the game, along with the FusionFall Adventures expansion, "Chowder - Chowder's IncrEdible Journey".^[5] He could be found in Chowder's mouth where he hands out the mission "A Pungent Pursuit".

Origin

Shnitzel originates from the 2007 American animated television series Chowder. In that media, he is the tritagonist of the show. A civilized rock monster, he works as an employee at Mung Daal's Catering under the chef Mung Daal. Possessing an overall grumpy and grounded personality, Shnitzel is level-headed and often the straight man to the people surrounding him. He can also usually only speak one word ("Radda") due to him suffering from constant agitation. His job mainly consists of him doing menial labor or cleanup duty, and lifting heavy things since he is incredibly strong.

Having served Mung for a long time, Shnitzel would be forced to endure the escapades of Mung's apprentice, Chowder, whose natural flare for causing calamitous antics is a constant source of frustration for Shnitzel. As such, he would often suggest radical punishments for Chowder when he stepped out of line. Also, in addition to dealing with the colorful people in Mung's catering, he would find himself the unwanted target of the affection of Ms. Endive, Mung's rival. As the years went by though, Shnitzel married Endive to have someone to complain about Chowder to. Fortunately, after Chowder had grown up, Shnitzel could move on and enjoy his marriage.

Trivia

• Shnitzel is one of two characters in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall who speak in incomprehensible speech patterns, the other being Coco.
