Fusion Invasion

The Past

Courage can be found in Nowhere outside of his house. He constantly sends E-mails to Gwen Tennyson about alien activity and totems in Nowhere.

During the Planetoid Fusion crisis, Courage (with the help of the Hero) is ultimately the one that destroys the planetoid by reversing the polarities of a UFO magnet found in Nowhere which was pulling the planetoid to Earth. With the polarities reversed, the Planetoid Fusion was crushed by its own force and was successfully destroyed before it reached Earth.

Courage also acts as a mission handler for players following Edd as a guide. He helps the player track down the Crazy Brain Candy. The player ends up with two dead ends before discovering Fuse had taken the candy to his lair. Courage also helps the player to save the Magic Tree from becoming infected by the Dark Tree. Courage gives out Candy Pirate and SACT gear that he found in Nowhere.

Origin

Courage, from .

Courage, from Courage the Cowardly Dog.

Courage originates from the 1999 American animated comedy horror television series Courage the Cowardly Dog. In that media, he is the titular protagonist of the show. A small pink dog, Courage is, in spite of his name, a timid, anxious and cowardly creature who is easily frightened by even the most mundane things. However, he is also a loving and morally strong person, and possesses virtually unbreakable perseverance. Whenever his loved ones or friends are in trouble, Courage will not hesitate to try and save them, and does so without concerns for his own well-being.

As a puppy, Courage got abandoned when his parents, Henry and Teresa, got kidnapped by a crazy veterinarian for an experiment and sent into space. Escaping the veterinarian's clinic, Courage ended up on the streets of Nowhere where he was found by Muriel. Taking pity on him, Muriel adopted him and named him "Courage" in recognition of what she saw as bravery in the pup. Courage would from then on live in the Bagge Farmhouse with Muriel and her husband, Eustace, who dislikes Courage immensely and frightens him frequently for his own amusement. However, while Courage prefers to live in peace and spend his time sitting on his beloved Muriel's lap, he often finds himself forced to rescue his adopted family from all the bizarre, horrific and supernatural creatures and events that Nowhere ever so often attracts.
