The Mayor is a NPC in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall. He is the bumbling, yet lovable highest-ranking official in the city of Townsville.^[1][2] His daily duties frequently consist of him calling upon the Powerpuff Girls to save the city when his leadership fails.^[2] Fortunately for the inept Mayor, he has surrounded himself with a number of key people who know how to get things done. With the help of Sara Bellum, the Powerpuff Girls, Dexter and Numbuh One, the Mayor has managed to maintain his city and keep his citizens happy.^[1]

Following Planet Fusion's invasion of the Earth, the Mayor's chief concern is to limit the damage to his city. Regardless, he is happy to defer most of the responsibility to the heroes in the war, knowing that the people will be safe in their hands.^[1]

Physical appearance

The Mayor is a short, light-skinned elderly human with a big nose, who only has hair on the sides of his head and a gray mustache. For attire, he wears a small and black top hat that floats over his head, a monocle over his left eye, a purple coat over a yellow vest and white dress shirt, a red bowtie, white gloves, orange pinstripe pants, black and white shoes, and a blue sash saying "Mayor". He also has a white flower-shaped brooch as well.

Fusion Invasion

The Past

In the Past, he can be found at City Hall. Like everyone else who is barely active in the war, the Mayor hears of the hero's accomplishments and asks Blossom to give the hero a message stating that he would like to see the one doing all these things. Blossom relays the message and the hero sets out for City Hall. With the expectation of receiving the key to the city, the hero happily arrives at City Hall, but those hopes are dashed when the Mayor tells the player that all he needs are some pickles. The hero goes to a pickle cart (which is fewer than five feet from where the Mayor is standing), delivers the pickles to the Mayor, and the Mayor gives a reward he received from Blossom to the hero.

In the next mission he gives, the Mayor sends the hero on a more important task. The hero must recover the keys to the city in a mission timed by the Mayor. The hero takes off quickly and in no time recovers all the keys and returns to the Mayor for a reward.

As the war heats up, DexLabs and Mandark Industries work together to obtain samples from characters and turn them in for Nano development. Dexbot Q-12 of City Station sends the hero to recover the Mayor's monocle. On arriving at City Hall, the hero talks to the Mayor. The Mayor misunderstands the hero and asks if the hero wants his monocle to make a banana. He then gives the hero his monocle, finally understanding that it is to make a Nano. He states that Ms. Bellum told him to give it to the hero if it were ever asked for.

Origin

The Mayor originates from the 1998 American superhero animated television series The Powerpuff Girls. In that media, he is one of the main characters. The legally official mayor of Townsville, the Mayor is lovable, devoted to his city and position, and very friendly. However, he is quite bumbling and his intelligence is often called into question. In fact, had it not been for the key people surrounding him, the Mayor would have failed his city many times over. He is also quite obsessive about pickles and his mayor's hat.

The Mayor has been running Townsville for some time, as nobody has ever (or at least rarely) run against him. Despite his long-standing position though, the real brains behind his administration is his assistant, Ms. Sara Bellum, who handles most of his priorities. Unfortunately, the Mayor's run was originally plagued by much criminal activity, and when the newly-created Powerpuff Girls ruined his pickle cart, things only got worse. However, after the girls saved Townsville from Mojo Jojo, the Mayor changed his mind and helped convince the girls to become Townsville's protectors. Since then, the Mayor has spent most of his time calling upon the Powerpuff Girls on their hotline to save the day or help with trivialities when he is not bumbling around Townsville.
