The following article is about something that was added to Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall in 2010 or later. This category includes content from the Birthday Bash, the various FusionFall Adventures, and The Academy tutorial, amongst other updates.

The Darkpaper Disciple is an enemy that appears in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall. It is a species of Fusion Monsters that is used in Fuse's Army.

Physical appearance

The Darkpaper Disciple is a tall, very humanoid Fusion Monster. It has a spindly physique with a body made of Fusion Matter and attire made of almost black newspapers that resemble the typical shinobi shōzoku, complete with shoes, pants, a sleeveless coat, wristbands, gauntlets, and cloth wrapped around its face, exposing only two red eyes. On it back, it also carries a very large, four-pointed shuriken made of newspaper and Fusion Matter.

Gameplay

In gameplay, the Darkpaper Disciples are enemy monsters that the player can fight over the course of "A Personal Matter". To target a Darkpaper Disciple, align the Avatar with it to make its information window appear on the top of the screen. Should its Health Bar reach zero when battling it, the Fusion Matter animating the Darkpaper Disciple will break up, and the Darkpaper Disciple will disintegrate.[1] The player will then automatically receive some Fusion Matter and Taros as reward. However, while the Darkpaper Disciple's Taro reward remains consistent, its Fusion Matter reward will decrease for each level the Avatar is above the Darkpaper Disciple; if the Avatar is six levels higher than the Darkpaper Disciple or more, no Fusion Matter is rewarded. Sometimes, the player also automatically receives loot from defeated Darkpaper Disciples in the form of C.R.A.T.E.s, Nano Potions, and Weapon Boosts.

In battle, the Darkpaper Disciples target the Avatar when they get close enough. However, the higher the Avatar's level is, the closer they can get to a Darkpaper Disciple without it attacking them. Once they begin fighting, the Darkpaper Disciples will continue attacking until either they are destroyed, the Avatar is defeated, or the Avatar moves too far away from their point of origin. If the Avatar runs away from them, the Darkpaper Disciples will follow them until they get too far away from their area of roaming, at which point they will return, where they will regain their full health instantly. Notably, while retreating, they will be invulnerable to attacks. Also, once defeated, a Darkpaper Disciple will respawn after thirty million seconds (or just under a year).
