The Colossal Colossus is an enemy that appears in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall. It is a species of Fusion Monsters that is used in Fuse's Army, and the boss version of the Canyon Colossuses.
Physical appearance
Essentially a larger version of the Canyon Colossus, the Colossal Colossus resembles a floating statue. It has a humanoid body made of Fusion Matter. However, it lacks legs and instead floats in midair with brown rocks hovering around its pelvis. Covering its body are dark gray and brown rocks, leaving its Fusion Matter body only visible through the cracks in its rocks. It also has long and thick arms with no digits on its hands. Its head on the other hand has the white and black face of a mandril with featureless red eyes and sharp teeth protruding from its mouth. It also wears a brown nemes and postiche, and has pointy blue crystals protruding from the top of its head and down its spine.
Gameplay
In gameplay, the Colossal Colossuses are enemy monsters that the player can fight at various points in the game. To target a Colossal Colossus, align the Avatar with it to make its information window appear on the top of the screen. Should its Health Bar reach zero when battling it, the Fusion Matter animating the Colossal Colossus will break up, and the Colossal Colossus will disintegrate.[1] The player will then automatically receive some Fusion Matter and Taros as reward. However, while the Colossal Colossus's Taro reward remains consistent, its Fusion Matter reward will decrease for each level the Avatar is above the Colossal Colossus; if the Avatar is six levels higher than the Colossal Colossus or more, no Fusion Matter is rewarded. Sometimes, the player also automatically receives loot from defeated Colossal Colossuses in the form of C.R.A.T.E.s, Weapon Boosts, and Nano Potions.
In battle, the Colossal Colossuses target the Avatar when they get close enough. However, the higher the Avatar's level is, the closer they can get to a Colossal Colossus without it attacking them. Once they begin fighting, the Colossal Colossuses will continue attacking until either they are destroyed, the Avatar is defeated, or the Avatar moves too far away from their point of origin. If the Avatar runs away from them, the Colossal Colossuses will follow them until they get too far away from their area of roaming, at which point they will return, where they will regain their full health instantly. Notably, while retreating, they will be invulnerable to attacks. Also, once defeated, a Colossal Colossus will respawn after one hundred and fifty seconds.
History
Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall
Fusion Invasion
The Past
In the Past, the Colossal Colossuses would fight the soldiers opposing the Fusion Invasion.
Behavior
Like other Fusion Monsters, the Colossal Colossuses are aggressive, hostile, and spit out Fusion Matter wherever they go.
Powers and abilities
Skills the Colossal Colossuses have exhibited include:
- Fusion Matter Explosion: The Colossal Colossuses possess the Eruption Attack, which lets them create a localized explosion of Fusion Matter from the ground. When launching this attack, the Colossal Colossuses make the ground below their opponent glow with Fusion Matter for a few seconds before causing a pillar of Fusion Matter to erupt.
- Levitation: The Colossal Colossuses are able to float and move around in midair.
- Nano Drain: The Colossal Colossuses possess the Corruption Attack, which lets them drain Nanos of their stamina. When they are attacking a Nano, they will start to glow, which is the wind up, before throwing an attack that will trump their opponent's Nano. Should it make contact, the Nano will lose a lot of stamina. Conversely, if their opponent drops their current Nano and brings out one that deflects the attack back at the Colossal Colossuses, the Nano will get a boost in stamina. Should the Colossal Colossuses launch their Corruption Attack on an opponent without a Nano out though, the former will take damage.
- Stun Inducement: The Colossal Colossuses possess the Stun - Cone power, which can immobilize their opponents completely for a few moments.
