The Doom Defender is an enemy that appears in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall. It is a species of Fusion Monsters that is used in Fuse's Army, and the boss version of the Doom Drones.
Physical appearance
Essentially a larger version of the Doom Drone, the Doom Defender is an ant-based, robotic Fusion Monster. It possesses mostly blue and gray armor, with Fusion Matter leaking from various joints and cracks in said armor. It possesses a flat head as well with two spike-like gray mandibles, a green line along the upper rim on said head, two small red eyes, two gray antennas emerging from the back end of its head, and a brown neck. Its mesosoma is likewise blue and gray with six brown legs joints, blue legs, a gray claw on the end of each leg, and a barrel on its back. As for its metasoma, it is large and blue with Fusion Matter inside it rims, a blue barrel-like attachment with a green lens inside it on top of it, and the word "dexlabs" written in white on its sides.
Gameplay
In gameplay, the Doom Defenders are enemy monsters that the player can fight at various points in the game. To target a Doom Defender, align the Avatar with it to make its information window appear on the top of the screen. Should its Health Bar reach zero when battling it, the Fusion Matter animating the Doom Defender will break up, and the Doom Defender will disintegrate.[1] The player will then automatically receive some Fusion Matter and Taros as reward. However, while the Doom Defender's Taro reward remains consistent, its Fusion Matter reward will decrease for each level the Avatar is above the Doom Defender; if the Avatar is six levels higher than the Doom Defender or more, no Fusion Matter is rewarded. Sometimes, the player also automatically receives loot from defeated Doom Defenders in the form of C.R.A.T.E.s.
In battle, the Doom Defenders target the Avatar when they get close enough. However, the higher the Avatar's level is, the closer they can get to a Doom Defender without it attacking them. Once they begin fighting, the Doom Defenders will continue attacking until either they are destroyed, the Avatar is defeated, or the Avatar moves too far away from their point of origin. If the Avatar runs away from them, the Doom Defenders will follow them until they get too far away from their area of roaming, at which point they will return, where they will regain their full health instantly. Notably, while retreating, they will be invulnerable to attacks. Also, once defeated, a Doom Defender will respawn after seventy seconds.

In the Past, the Doom Defenders would fight the soldiers opposing the Fusion Invasion.
Behavior
Like other Fusion Monsters, the Doom Defenders are aggressive, hostile, and spit out Fusion Matter wherever they go.
Powers and abilities
Skills the Doom Defenders have exhibited include:
- Nano Drain: The Doom Defenders possess the Corruption Attack, which lets them drain Nanos of their stamina. When they are attacking a Nano, they will start to glow, which is the wind up, before throwing an attack that will trump their opponent's Nano. Should it make contact, the Nano will lose a lot of stamina. Conversely, if their opponent drops their current Nano and brings out one that deflects the attack back at the Doom Defenders, the Nano will get a boost in stamina. Should the Doom Defenders launch their Corruption Attack on an opponent without a Nano out though, the former will take damage.
