The Terrorpin is a Fusion Monster resembling a large cross between a tortoise and a pair of alligators. It has a tortoise shell made of brown rocks held together by Fusion Matter. The rim of its shell is pretty streamlined, but the inner rocks on the shell are more rudely put together and have a gray spike on top of each of them. It also has an alligator-like tail made of solid Fusion Matter and is partially covered in a shell of rock, bark, and branches. It has as well six tortoise-like legs consisting of Fusion Matter covered in bark and branches, with the latter in particular forming toes. It also has an alligator-like head with gray rocks for scales, three red eyes with slit-like pupils, spikes on the chins, and two parallel alligator snouts complete with mouths and sharp teeth side by side. Lastly, Fusion Matter leak all over its body.

Gameplay

In gameplay, the Terrorpins are enemy monsters that the player fights at various points in the game, either optionally, or as a part of a mission objective. To target a Terrorpin, align the Avatar with it to make its information window appear on the top of the screen. Should its Health Bar reach zero when battling it, the Fusion Matter animating the Terrorpin will break up, and the Terrorpin will disintegrate.[2] The player will then automatically receive some Fusion Matter and Taros as reward. However, while the Terrorpin's Taro reward remains consistent, its Fusion Matter reward will decrease for each level the Avatar is above the Terrorpin; if the Avatar is six levels higher than the Terrorpin or more, no Fusion Matter is rewarded. Sometimes, the player also automatically receives loot from defeated Terrorpins in the form of C.R.A.T.E.s, Nano Potions, and Weapon Boosts.

In battle, the Terrorpins target the Avatar when they get close enough. However, the higher the Avatar's level is, the closer they can get to a Terrorpin without it attacking them. Once they begin fighting, the Terrorpins will continue attacking until either they are destroyed, the Avatar is defeated, or the Avatar moves too far away from their point of origin. If the Avatar runs away from them, the Terrorpins will follow them until they get too far away from their area of roaming, at which point they will return, where they will regain their full health instantly. Notably, while retreating, they will be invulnerable to attacks. Also, once defeated, a normal Terrorpin will respawn after one hundred seconds. However, in the Sewers during "Alligators in the Sewers!", there is a unique Terrorpin that is much larger and has more health than the surrounding ones, which takes five hundred seconds to respawn.
