The Magma Toad Master is an enemy that appears in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall. It is a species of Fusion Monsters that is used in Fuse's Army, and the boss version of the Volcano Toada.
Physical appearance
Essentially a larger version of the Volcano Toad, the Magma Toad Master is a giant, toad-based Fusion Monster. As its name implies, it possesses a toad-like body, but with a thick and stubby tail. Its legs are made up of uprooted brown tree trunks, and its head resembles a toad's that is made of red earth, complete with a wide mouth, a wrinkled face, and two featureless red eyes. Its torso on the other hand resembles a section of uprooted earth with lava veins on its underbelly, green grass around the edges on the sides, and a small, gray-colored volcano with lava spewing out of it on its back. Lastly, it has patches of Fusion Matter all over its body.
Gameplay
In gameplay, the Magma Toad Masters are enemy monsters that the player can fight at various points in the game. To target a Magma Toad Master, align the Avatar with it to make its information window appear on the top of the screen. Should its Health Bar reach zero when battling it, the Fusion Matter animating the Magma Toad Master will break up, and the Magma Toad Master will disintegrate.[1] The player will then automatically receive some Fusion Matter and Taros as reward. However, while the Magma Toad Master's Taro reward remains consistent, its Fusion Matter reward will decrease for each level the Avatar is above the Magma Toad Master; if the Avatar is six levels higher than the Magma Toad Master or more, no Fusion Matter is rewarded. Sometimes, the player also automatically receives loot from defeated Magma Toad Masters in the form of C.R.A.T.E.s, Nano Potions, and Weapon Boosts.
In battle, the Magma Toad Masters target the Avatar when they get close enough. However, the higher the Avatar's level is, the closer they can get to a Magma Toad Master without it attacking them. Once they begin fighting, the Magma Toad Masters will continue attacking until either they are destroyed, the Avatar is defeated, or the Avatar moves too far away from their point of origin. If the Avatar runs away from them, the Magma Toad Masters will follow them until they get too far away from their area of roaming, at which point they will return, where they will regain their full health instantly. Notably, while retreating, they will be invulnerable to attacks. Also, once defeated, a Magma Toad Master will respawn after one hundred and fifty seconds.

In the Past, the Magma Toad Masters would fight the soldiers opposing the Fusion Invasion.
Behavior
Like other Fusion Monsters, the Magma Toad Masters are aggressive, hostile, and spit out Fusion Matter wherever they go.
Powers and abilities
Skills the Magma Toad Masters have exhibited include:
- Fusion Matter Explosion: The Magma Toad Masters possess the Eruption Attack, which lets them create a localized explosion of Fusion Matter from the ground. When launching this attack, the Magma Toad Masters make the ground below their opponent glow with Fusion Matter for a few seconds before causing a pillar of Fusion Matter to erupt.
- Nano Drain: The Magma Toad Masters possess the Corruption Attack, which lets them drain Nanos of their stamina. When they are attacking a Nano, they will start to glow, which is the wind up, before throwing an attack that will trump their opponent's Nano. Should it make contact, the Nano will lose a lot of stamina. Conversely, if their opponent drops their current Nano and brings out one that deflects the attack back at the Magma Toad Masters, the Nano will get a boost in stamina. Should the Magma Toad Masters launch their Corruption Attack on an opponent without a Nano out though, the former will take damage.
- Stun Inducement: The Magma Toad Masters possess the Stun - Cone power, which can immobilize their opponents completely for a few moments.
