The Spawn Simian Captain is an enemy that appears in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall. It is a species of Fusion Monsters that is used in Fuse's Army, and the boss version of the Spawn Simians.
Physical appearance
Essentially a larger version of the Spawn Simian, the Spawn Simian Captain is a simian-based Fusion Monster. It has a thin body with long limbs and tail, brown fur, a large claw in place of each of its hands, and a tall head, along with orange lava-like veins all over it. It also has featureless and menacing red eyes, a green mouth, and a pair of bat-like wings on its back.
Gameplay
In gameplay, the Spawn Simian Captains are enemy monsters that the player can fight at various points in the game. To target a Spawn Simian Captain, align the Avatar with it to make its information window appear on the top of the screen. Should its Health Bar reach zero when battling it, the Fusion Matter animating the Spawn Simian Captain will break up, and the Spawn Simian Captain will disintegrate.[1] The player will then automatically receive some Fusion Matter and Taros as reward. However, while the Spawn Simian Captain's Taro reward remains consistent, its Fusion Matter reward will decrease for each level the Avatar is above the Spawn Simian Captain; if the Avatar is six levels higher than the Spawn Simian Captain or more, no Fusion Matter is rewarded. Sometimes, the player also automatically receives loot from defeated Spawn Simian Captains in the form of C.R.A.T.E.s, Nano Potions, and Weapon Boosts.
In battle, the Spawn Simian Captains target the Avatar when they get close enough. However, the higher the Avatar's level is, the closer they can get to a Spawn Simian Captain without it attacking them. Once they begin fighting, the Spawn Simian Captains will continue attacking until either they are destroyed, the Avatar is defeated, or the Avatar moves too far away from their point of origin. If the Avatar runs away from them, the Spawn Simian Captains will follow them until they get too far away from their area of roaming, at which point they will return, where they will regain their full health instantly. Notably, while retreating, they will be invulnerable to attacks. Also, once defeated, a Spawn Simian Captain will respawn after one hundred seconds.
History
Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall
Fusion Invasion
The Past
In the Past, the Spawn Simian Captains would fight the soldiers opposing the Fusion Invasion.
Behavior
Like other Fusion Monsters, the Spawn Simian Captains are aggressive, hostile, and spit out Fusion Matter wherever they go.
Powers and abilities
Skills the Spawn Simian Captains have exhibited include:
- Flight: The Spawn Simian Captains are capable of flight thanks to their wings.
- Fusion Matter Explosion: The Spawn Simian Captains possess the Eruption Attack, which lets them create a localized explosion of Fusion Matter from the ground. When launching this attack, the Spawn Simian Captains make the ground below their opponent glow with Fusion Matter for a few seconds before causing a pillar of Fusion Matter to erupt.
- Nano Drain: The Spawn Simian Captains possess the Corruption Attack, which lets them drain Nanos of their stamina. When they are attacking a Nano, they will start to glow, which is the wind up, before throwing an attack that will trump their opponent's Nano. Should it make contact, the Nano will lose a lot of stamina. Conversely, if their opponent drops their current Nano and brings out one that deflects the attack back at the Spawn Simian Captains, the Nano will get a boost in stamina. Should the Spawn Simian Captains launch their Corruption Attack on an opponent without a Nano out though, the former will take damage.
- Stun Inducement: The Spawn Simian Captains possess the Stun - Cone power, which can immobilize their opponents completely for a few moments.
