The Vile Defiler is an enemy that appears in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall. It is a species of Fusion Monsters that is used in Fuse's Army, and the boss version of the Vile Cabinets.
Physical appearance
Essentially a larger version of the Vile Cabinet, the Vile Defiler is a vaguely humanoid Fusion Monster made of file cabinets. It possesses a large and beige double-stack file cabinet that serves as both its torso and head, with the top drawer arranged and bend to resemble a thick brow with two red eyes below it while the lower drawer serves as a mouth filled with Fusion Matter and a serrated top edge that vaguely resembles teeth. Both its arms are made up of smaller gray file cabinets, with its upper arms consisting of double-stacked cabinets and its forearms being made up of quadruple-stacked cabinets with twisted drawers. Both its arm sections are connecting by thick cables. Its legs are similarly made of quadruple-stacked gray cabinets. Lastly, it has Fusion Matter leaking all over its body.
Gameplay
In gameplay, the Vile Defilers are enemy monsters that the player can fight at various points in the game. To target a Vile Defiler, align the Avatar with it to make its information window appear on the top of the screen. Should its Health Bar reach zero when battling it, the Fusion Matter animating the Asphalt Thief will break up, and the Asphalt Thief will disintegrate.[1] The player will then automatically receive some Fusion Matter and Taros as reward. However, while the Asphalt Thief's Taro reward remains consistent, its Fusion Matter reward will decrease for each level the Avatar is above the Asphalt Thief; if the Avatar is six levels higher than the Asphalt Thief or higher, no Fusion Matter is rewarded. Sometimes, the player also automatically receives loot from defeated Vile Defilers in the form of C.R.A.T.E.s, Nano Potions, and Weapon Boosts.
In battle, the Vile Defilers target the Avatar when they get close enough. However, the higher the Avatar's level is, the closer they can get to a Vile Defiler without it attacking them. Once they begin fighting, the Vile Defilers will continue attacking until either they are destroyed, the Avatar is defeated, or the Avatar moves too far away from their point of origin. If the Avatar runs away from them, the Vile Defilers will follow them until they get too far away from their area of roaming, at which point they will return, where they will regain their full health instantly. Notably, while retreating, they will be invulnerable to attacks. Also, once defeated, a Vile Defiler will respawn after one hundred seconds.
History
Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall
Fusion Invasion
The Past
In the Past, the Vile Defilers would fight the soldiers opposing the Fusion Invasion.
Behavior
Like other Fusion Monsters, the Vile Defilers are aggressive, hostile, and spit out Fusion Matter wherever they go.
Powers and abilities
Skills the Vile Defilers have exhibited include:
- Fusion Matter Explosion: The Vile Defilers possess the Eruption Attack, which lets them create a localized explosion of Fusion Matter from the ground. When launching this attack, the Vile Defilers make the ground below their opponent glow with Fusion Matter for a few seconds before causing a pillar of Fusion Matter to erupt.
- Nano Drain: The Vile Defilers possess the Corruption Attack, which lets them drain Nanos of their stamina. When they are attacking a Nano, they will start to glow, which is the wind up, before throwing an attack that will trump their opponent's Nano. Should it make contact, the Nano will lose a lot of stamina. Conversely, if their opponent drops their current Nano and brings out one that deflects the attack back at the Vile Defilers, the Nano will get a boost in stamina. Should the Vile Defilers launch their Corruption Attack on an opponent without a Nano out though, the former will take damage.
- Stun Inducement: The Vile Defilers possess the Stun - Cone power, which can immobilize its opponents completely for a few moments.
