The Lizard Queen is an enemy that appears in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall. It is a species of Fusion Monsters that is used in Fuse's Army.

Physical appearance

The Lizard Queen is a large, lizard-based Fusion Monster. Its entire body is made up of red rocks and pebble held together by Fusion Matter. It also has two featureless red eyes, three-toed feet with beige claws, a pair of stubby, but pointy, horns on its head, a brown and dark blue collar of sort around its neck, and sharp teeth. Lastly, it has a skeletal-like beige cord running down its spine and tail, with spikes on top of it and binds around its belly and tail.

Gameplay

In gameplay, the Lizard Queens are enemy monsters that the player fights at various points in the game, either optionally, or as a part of a mission objective. To target a Lizard Queen, align the Avatar with it to make its information window appear on the top of the screen. Should its Health Bar reach zero when battling it, the Fusion Matter animating the Lizard Queen will break up, and the Lizard Queen will disintegrate.^[2] The player will then automatically receive some Fusion Matter and Taros as reward. However, while the Lizard Queen's Taro reward remains consistent, its Fusion Matter reward will decrease for each level the Avatar is above the Lizard Queen; if the Avatar is six levels higher than the Lizard Queen or higher, no Fusion Matter is rewarded. Sometimes, the player also automatically receives loot from defeated Lizard Queens in the form of C.R.A.T.E.s, Nano Potions, and Weapon Boosts.

In battle, the Lizard Queens target the Avatar when they get close enough. However, the higher the Avatar's level is, the closer they can get to a Lizard Queen without it attacking them. Once they begin fighting, the Lizard Queens will continue attacking until either they are destroyed, the Avatar is defeated, or the Avatar moves too far away from their point of origin. If the Avatar runs away from them, the Lizard Queens will follow them until they get too far away from their area of roaming, at which point they will return, where they will regain their full health instantly. Notably, while retreating, they will be invulnerable to attacks. Also, once defeated, a Lizard Queen will respawn after one hundred and fifty seconds.

Behavior

Like other Fusion Monsters, the Lizard Queens are aggressive, hostile, and spit out Fusion Matter wherever they go. They tend to bask in the heat, waiting for food to walk by.^[1]

Camouflage: The Lizard Queens blend in well with the landscape in the Fireswamps.^[1]
Fusion Matter Explosion: The Lizard Queens possess the Eruption Attack, which lets them create a localized explosion of Fusion Matter from the ground. When launching this attack, the Lizard Queens make the ground below their opponent glow with Fusion Matter for a few seconds before causing a pillar of Fusion Matter to erupt.
Nano Drain: The Lizard Queens possess the Corruption Attack, which lets them drain Nanos of their stamina. When they are attacking a Nano, they will start to glow, which is the wind up, before throwing an attack that will trump their opponent's Nano. Should it make contact, the Nano will lose a lot of stamina. Conversely, if their opponent drops their current Nano and brings out one that deflects the attack back at the Lizard Queens, the Nano will get a boost in stamina. Should the Lizard Queens launch their Corruption Attack on an opponent without a Nano out though, the former will take damage.
Potion Consumption: The Lizard Queens possess the Battery Drain, which lets them launch attacks that can drain the Avatar's supply of Nano Potions and Weapon Boosts by a certain amount.
