The Timber Terror is a tree-based Fusion Monster. Its basic anatomy is that of an ancient and withered tree with dull brown bark. Its roots have been uprooted to serve as tentacle-like feet, and it possesses a thin trunk. It also has two long and thin wooden arms with disproportionally large five-fingered hands, and a low-set head with a long face, a gaping mouth with a maw made of Fusion Matter, two red eyes, and hanging branches from its scalp that resembling long strands of hair. Lastly, it has Fusion Matter leaking all over its body.

Gameplay

In gameplay, the Timber Terrors are enemy monsters that the player fights at various points in the game, either optionally, or as a part of a mission objective. To target a Timber Terror, align the Avatar with it to make its information window appear on the top of the screen. Should its Health Bar reach zero when battling it, the Fusion Matter animating the Timber Terror will break up, and the Timber Terror will disintegrate.[2] The player will then automatically receive some Fusion Matter and Taros as reward. However, while the Timber Terror's Taro reward remains consistent, its Fusion Matter reward will decrease for each level the Avatar is above the Timber Terror; if the Avatar is six levels higher than the Timber Terror or higher, no Fusion Matter is rewarded. Sometimes, the player also automatically receives loot from defeated Timber Terrors in the form of C.R.A.T.E.s, Nano Potions, and Weapon Boosts.

In battle, the Timber Terrors target the Avatar when they get close enough. However, the higher the Avatar's level is, the closer they can get to a Timber Terror without it attacking them. Once they begin fighting, the Timber Terrors will continue attacking until either they are destroyed, the Avatar is defeated, or the Avatar moves too far away from their point of origin. If the Avatar runs away from them, the Timber Terrors will follow them until they get too far away from their area of roaming, at which point they will return, where they will regain their full health instantly. Notably, while retreating, they will be invulnerable to attacks. Also, once defeated, a Timber Terror will respawn after seventy seconds.
