Quick Start Game Guide, Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall Victory Pack[1]

The Noxious Spawn is an enemy that appears in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall. It is a species of Fusion Monsters that is used in Fuse's Army.

A Noxious Spawn, from the Quick Start Game Guide.

The Noxious Spawn bears a strong resemblance to its Fusion Spawn cousin, being a basic round blob of Fusion Matter with a hook-like antennae on top of its head that resembles a dorsal fin and menacing and featureless red eyes. However, the Noxious Spawn wears a brown and gray half-face elastomeric respirator over its mouth, with black straps around its body that holds the mask in place. In addition, the end straps for its mask come together to form a black devil tail.

Gameplay

In gameplay, the Noxious Spawns are enemy monsters that the player fights at various points in the game, either optionally, or as a part of a mission objective. To target a Noxious Spawn, align the Avatar with it to make its information window appear on the top of the screen. Should its Health Bar reach zero when battling it, the Fusion Matter animating the Noxious Spawn will break up, and the Noxious Spawn will disintegrate.[2] The player will then automatically receive some Fusion Matter and Taros as reward. However, while the Noxious Spawn's Taro reward remains consistent, its Fusion Matter reward will decrease for each level the Avatar is above the Noxious Spawn; if the Avatar is six levels higher than the Noxious Spawn or more, no Fusion Matter is rewarded. Sometimes, the player also automatically receives loot from defeated Noxious Spawns in the form of C.R.A.T.E.s.

In battle, the Noxious Spawns target the Avatar when they get close enough. However, the higher the Avatar's level is, the closer they can get to a Noxious Spawn without it attacking them. Once they begin fighting, the Noxious Spawns will continue attacking until either they are destroyed, the Avatar is defeated, or the Avatar moves too far away from their point of origin. If the Avatar runs away from them, the Noxious Spawns will follow them until they get too far away from their area of roaming, at which point they will return, where they will regain their full health instantly. Notably, while retreating, they will be invulnerable to attacks. Also, once defeated, a Noxious Spawn will typically respawn after thirty seconds.
