– Quick Start Game Guide, Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall Victory Pack[1]
The Timber Hulk is an enemy that appears in Cartoon Network Universe: FusionFall. It is a species of Fusion Monsters that is used in Fuse's Army.
Physical appearance
A Timber Hulk, from the Quick Start Game Guide.
The Timber Hulk is a tree-based Fusion Monster. Its basic anatomy is that of an ancient and withered tree with dull brown bark. Its roots have been uprooted to serve as tentacle-like feet, and it possesses a thin trunk. It also has two long and thin wooden arms with disproportionally large five-fingered hands, and a low-set head with a long face, a gaping mouth with a maw made of Fusion Matter, two red eyes, and hanging branches from its scalp that resembling long strands of hair. Lastly, it has Fusion Matter leaking all over its body.
Gameplay
In gameplay, the Timber Hulks are enemy monsters that the player fights at various points in the game, either optionally, or as a part of a mission objective. To target a Timber Hulk, align the Avatar with it to make its information window appear on the top of the screen. Should its Health Bar reach zero when battling it, the Fusion Matter animating the Timber Hulk will break up, and the Timber Hulk will disintegrate.[2] The player will then automatically receive some Fusion Matter and Taros as reward. However, while the Timber Hulk's Taro reward remains consistent, its Fusion Matter reward will decrease for each level the Avatar is above the Timber Hulk; if the Avatar is six levels higher than the Timber Hulk or higher, no Fusion Matter is rewarded. Sometimes, the player also automatically receives loot from defeated Timber Hulks in the form of C.R.A.T.E.s, Nano Potions, and Weapon Boosts.
In battle, the Timber Hulks target the Avatar when they get close enough. However, the higher the Avatar's level is, the closer they can get to a Timber Hulk without it attacking them. Once they begin fighting, the Timber Hulks will continue attacking until either they are destroyed, the Avatar is defeated, or the Avatar moves too far away from their point of origin. If the Avatar runs away from them, the Timber Hulks will follow them until they get too far away from their area of roaming, at which point they will return, where they will regain their full health instantly. Notably, while retreating, they will be invulnerable to attacks. Also, once defeated, a Timber Hulk will respawn after one hundred and fifty seconds.

Behavior
Like other Fusion Monsters, the Timber Hulks are aggressive, hostile, and spit out Fusion Matter wherever they go. Some think the Timber Hulks can talk, but it is actually just the creaking of their ancient branches.[1]
Powers and abilities
Skills the Timber Hulks have exhibited include:
- Fusion Matter Explosion: The Timber Hulks possess the Eruption Attack, which lets them create a localized explosion of Fusion Matter from the ground. When launching this attack, the Timber Hulks make the ground below their opponent glow with Fusion Matter for a few seconds before causing a pillar of Fusion Matter to erupt.
- Nano Drain: The Timber Hulks possess the Corruption Attack, which lets them drain Nanos of their stamina. When they are attacking a Nano, they will start to glow, which is the wind up, before throwing an attack that will trump their opponent's Nano. Should it make contact, the Nano will lose a lot of stamina. Conversely, if their opponent drops their current Nano and brings out one that deflects the attack back at the Timber Hulks, the Nano will get a boost in stamina. Should the Timber Hulks launch their Corruption Attack on an opponent without a Nano out though, the former will take damage.
- Stun Inducement: The Timber Hulks possess the Stun - Cone power, which can immobilize their opponents completely for a few moments.
